Any one of us or our children may one day need an organ transplant to save our lives. Many people die every year due to not receiving a transplant.

This awful situation highlights the need for families to discuss organ donation and procurement.

Not sharing your stance with loved ones would make it difficult for hospital teams to recover your organs in the event you pass away, and force your family to make a decision on your behalf. And it is not an easy decision to have to make! Information materials (2011)

In 2011, a major collaboration was formed in Luxembourg between Luxembourg-Transplant, the Luxembourg Football Federation, the Ministry of Health, the Ministerial Department for Sports and RTL to facilitate discussions on organ donation. This joint project created a TV advert and poster campaign in 2011, in which the national football team featured heavily.
