Problematic drug use

It is not always easy to know whether or not your drug use is problematic.

Here are some clues that generally mean your drug use has become a problem:

  • You are spending nearly all of your money on drugs.
  • You are using in order to feel better.
  • You are using to cope with your problems.
  • You are using to give you the confidence to express your thoughts and opinions.
  • You used to take drugs with your friends but now you do so alone.
  • All of your friends take drugs.

If you think that your drug use is problematic, you must seek specialist help.

Your family doctor and consultation centres are a good place to start.
