Health and social welfare centres

Front-line care can also be provided by health and social welfare centres. For the most part, this takes the form of preventive healthcare (notably consultations on stopping smoking), infant and child consultations (ages 0 to 4), and school medicine.

These activities are carried out in particular by staff of the Health and Social Welfare League (Ligue médico-sociale) and other professionals.

Health and social welfare centres are managed by the Health and Social Welfare League. These partners help to promote social and preventive healthcare, and social action in all its forms.
