Sexually transmitted diseases

While you are travelling, you may have sex with a casual partner. Using a condom is the only way to protect yourself against sexually transmitted diseases: AIDS, syphilis, hepatitis B, genital herpes, etc.

You should therefore make sure you follow the rules of safe sex:

  • Abstain from sex.
  • Be faithful.
  • Avoid sexual contact with multiple partners or people who have multiple partners (prostitution).
  • Use a condom.
